Developed by Joseph Pilates, Pilates is a conditioning routine that improves muscle control, flexibility, coordination, strength and tone. Using specially designed spring resistance –based equipment or specialized mat exercises to simultaneously stretch and strengthen muscles.  Pilates methodology emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness to support an efficient, graceful movement. Modification is the key to Pilates exercises; all exercises are developed with modification that can make a workout safe and challenging for any person at any age or fitness level.
