About Balanced Body Instructor Training
The Balanced Body® Pilates instructor training program is internationally renowned, and Pure Pilates has been a premier Pilates teacher training center since 2014, with full mat and equipment courses directed by Susan Clark for Pure Pilates.
The Balanced Body Instructor Training Program at Pure Pilates is designed to create thoughtful, creative and successful Pilates teachers. The Balanced Body curriculum emphasizes the principles underlying each exercise. Balanced Body manuals are considered to be some of the best in the industry and are a more in depth study of the Pilates movement principles. Courses are modular and progressive, allowing students to build on their education and training in the way that suits their unique training goals, budget, and timeline. These courses are also a great opportunity for certified instructors to receive continuing education hours for Balanced Body or the Pilates Method Alliance. All courses are taught by Susan Clark from Friday to Sunday on weekends throughout the year. This training schedule allows those working full time and those from outside Northwest Florida train with us with minimal time away from home, family, and work.
Modules are also an excellent way for current instructors and fitness professionals to earn continuing education credits. These modules count toward required cec’s for ACE, the PMA, and Balanced Body.
*The program offers an assessment-based certificate of completion, not a “Pilates Certification,” based on the recommendations of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA).
Program Options: Mat, Reformer, Comprehensive
Each module requires the purchase of the corresponding manual and video ($80).
Pure Pilates offers early bird pricing for apprentices who register for training modules more than 10 days in advance of the first date of the module.
Please note: Apprentices can take mat, reformer, and/or comprehensive (mat, reformer, apparatus) but are NOT required to complete all three. Once the required hours are completed for the desired certification option, you can submit a test out application to Balanced Body®. Test outs can be schedule at any Balanced Body® Facility or at a Pilates on Tour Conference. After you receive your certificate from Balanced Body, you can apply to take the PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) exam to become a PMA-CPT. Please contact Pure Pilates to begin designing your training program.
